Host Families

Every year approximately 26 young men move to Rochester for the summer to play for the Rochester Honkers. From June 1st through August 20 these young aspiring ballplayers continue to hone their baseball skills playing 68 games in 74 days. Players come from all over the United States to participate in the Northwoods League and to be a part of the Rochester Honkers Baseball Team.

Over the twelve year history of the Rochester Honkers, the Host Family program has been a vital part of our team's success both on and off the field. Having the players become a part of a local family helps these young men have some sense of normalcy in a strange new city. Many of the players become more than a guest, they actually become part of the family.

To become a Host Family.....

Provide a room and bed for player during the baseball season.
Benefit: Host Family (immediate family members only) will receive a pass allowing them general admission access to ALL regular season games, home and away.
