2009 Diamond Dolls

Diamond Doll Coach: Shannon Miller

Formerly known as Shannon Lund, graduated from Rochester Century in 2004.

Dance Background: Lund has studied all phases of dance at Janet Lang Dance Studio for 15 years before moving to Minneapolis to attend the U of M, teach Hip Hop at the University of Minnesota, and for 4 years taught competition dance at a studio in Andover, MN. Shannon has been an instructor at JLDS for over 6 years where she truly enjoys sharing her passion and love of dance with her students.  Just recently Shannon started the first ever JLDS competition dance teams where they have had great success this year at the competitions they’ve attended.  She enjoys expanding her knowledge of dance by attending various workshops and choreographing for dance teams and organizations. 

This season: Shannon is excited very excited to be the Coach for the first ever baseball dance team.  She is looking forward to spending her summer outside watching baseball and coaching some of Rochester’s most talented dancers!

Diamond Doll Coach: Shannon Bruce

Dance Background: Bruce grew up dancing at Janet Lang Dance Studio.  She began teaching lessons at Janet Lang in 1993, as a freshman in high school and continued to teach dance throughout college at Misty’s Dance Unlimited in Onalaska, Wisconsin. In 2003, she moved to Minneapolis to pursue her dream of dancing professionally.  She danced with the Minnesota Timberwolves Dance Team for two seasons and with The Minnesota Swarm Performance Team for two seasons. This year, Shannon traveled to New York City to participate in the Broadway Dance Center’s Teacher Convention. Shannon shares her love of dancing with others by teaching Hip Hop Aerobics for Lifetime Fitness, teaching summer sessions at Janet Lang and by choreographing for high school, college and professional dance teams.
